Thoughts

The start of this chapter takes us off of Punk Hazard, to the island where the parents of the experimented children live. They are pleading to Yarisugi to search for their children one more time. It looks like the Commodore is a fine example of how vile some members of G5 are. These parents are pleading to him for help and he simply turns them away and continues to perpetuate the lie.

It also looks as if Vergo can stick more then just burger patties to his face. Other things that can be place on his face includes french fries. Makes you wish that Vergo was real so you can stick other foods on his face to see if they will stick. It makes you wonder if this is some sort of Devil Fruit ability where things are able to stick to him. It does not sound useful but Vergo was able to make it work if it got him the position of Vice Admiral. Then in the previous chapter we saw the possible hints of Armament Haki. If this does come true then it could be a deadly combination.

In case you didn't know what an Axolotl look like.

The reveals continue on as we discover that Smile was fed a Devil Fruit. It has been a while since we last saw an item embedded with a Devil Fruit. I wonder if it is easier to feed Zoan type Devil Fruits to items then the other kinds. So far all the items that have been fed Devil Fruits have been of the Zoan type.

The Devil Fruit explains why Caesar's pet was very sentient when we first encountered it. Now that it's children have been destroyed, it is being much more aggressive towards Team Zoro. That is good for the G5 men who are stuck fighting the small half that Smile was throwing a few chapters ago. The only problem is that they are leading the lizard smile beast to the lab where it wanted to be. This could lead to a bigger problem.

This takes me back.

Just by looking at this panel I immediately thought of Luffy and crew being captured at Rainbase. The similarity is almost uncanny. I laughed so hard when Robin brought that up in the same panel and the irony that now she is in the cell with them.

It looks like Caesar has some big plans even though not everybody knows them. Franky is the key to escaping but it looks like Caesar thought ahead and had him knocked out. The mad scientist must want to strip Franky of the laser technology so he could be out for a while.

Still, the biggest reveal was the identity of Joker being Doflamingo. That name is very fitting considering the character. He clearly has his hands into deep things by the looks of it. He has men within the World Government, Marines, and Pirates. This explain why Law's jolly roger looks similar to Doflamingo.

The best part about all of this is that Doflamingo is most likely doing this for profit. He does not wish to take over the world or do something world changing. He simply wants to make a buck and is willing to play both sides to get what he wants. Doflamingo sounds like the guy who is willing to lead both sides to war and then supply them with goods all in the name of profit. He does not care who wins or loses as long as he comes out on top in the end.

I am liking where this arc is going. We are seeing how the Warlords are becoming important to the story. Then we have Caesar and his sinister slime causing havoc outside. Now we see what Vergo and his men will do on the inside.

Until next time true believers!
